These laser cut, Moroccan-inspired works of art and utility, are an opulent set of decorative American Black Walnut coasters that make excellent presents. There are many coaster designs out there but few are as exquisite as these!

With a design rendered using generative computer techniques, these beverage holders feature a distinct, Eastern geometry inspired pattern that harks back to the time of a Moorish palace in Marrakesh. The cool, minimalist packaging hints at what’s inside – the most lavish and intricate design; a contrast that exemplifies the Moroccan dar tradition.

Each coaster is laser cut from 6mm American Black Walnut veneered board in a variety of dazzling designs. The mathematical derivation of these designs combines high tech wizardry with classic, artisan-inspired techniques to create an objet d’art almost too good to rest your drink on!

The Berber and Moorish inspired design is further enhanced by hand finishing techniques. After the design has been fashioned from the wood, each coaster is hand sanded and oiled for maximum protection and to accentuate its finish, protected with a water based and non toxic finish, so safe even for the most sensitive skin. The finish extends the life of both your table and the coasters themselves.

Ideal for either the home or the office, your guests will easily mistake these coasters as part of the theme of that room’s design. When not used as intended, they also make great decorative accents for coffee tables, mantle piece and small wall niches.

Coming shipped in a study black cardboard box for storage, these coasters are perfect for beverage use and just to show off.
