Saltaire Arts Trail – 27th to 29th May 2017

Now expanded taking over even more of the Victoria Hall, and taking place again over the May Bank Holiday, I’m really pleased to say I’ve just been accepted for what promises to be another great Northern weekend of art and design.

Saltaire Arts Trail is a community arts event held annually in May, offering an imaginative visual arts programme and celebrating the village’s rich heritage.  At its heart, every year, are the now famous Open Houses – a village wide gallery set in the Grade II listed homes of residents.

The Arts Trail prides itself in reaching out to new audiences and making art accessible to all by using imaginative venues – such as Saltaire homes, the internationally recognised Salts Mill and outdoor spaces around Saltaire.  The aim is to display visual art outside of traditional settings, as well as delivering new exhibitions and commissions.

Apart from the Arts Trail and Salts Mill, there are plenty of independent shops and eateries so it’s a great day out, just a short hop on the train from Bradford or Leeds.
